Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion

The Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion is one of the few remaining examples of historical Chinese Courtyard architecture. Its location in Georgetown, Penang is evidence of an established Chinese settlement by the 19th Century. Preservation work was carried out in 1990 and completed by 1996, and this exceptional undertaking won the 2000 UNESCO-Asia Pacific Awards for Culture Heritage Preservation.
