Journal of Chinese Overseas (JCO) is published in English twice a year in March and September. It carries academic articles on Chinese overseas worldwide as well as relevant topics on emigrant communities in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The journal also accepts articles on people of non-Han origins in diaspora, who can trace their ancestry to China. In addition to well-researched articles, the journal also publishes research reports and book reviews.

Executive Board, World Confederation of Institutes and
Libraries of Chinese Overseas Studies (WCILCOS)

 

Professor Wang Gungwu, Director, East Asian  Institute, Singapore,  and
Distinguished Adviser to the Interagency  Committee on Chinese Overseas Documentation and Research  (COCOD), and  Ms  Ch'ng Kim See, Head, ISEAS Library, Institute of Southeast Asian  Studies, Singapore,  who is also the Vice-Chairman of COCOD were recently  elected to the Executive Board of World Confederation of Institutes and  Libraries of Chinese Overseas Studies (WCILCOS).

 

Other members who were also elected  were Dr  Hwa-wei Lee, Chief, Asian Division, Library of  Congress,  USA, , Mr Zhou Nanjing, Ms Julia Zimmerman, Dean, Ohio University  Libraries, Ohio, Athens, USA, John Fitzgerald, and Mr Colin  Storey, University Librarian, Chinese University of Hong Kong. The Board has  seven members. The secretariat is based at Ohio University Libraries, Ohio,  Athens, USA. The Honorary Secretary is Dr Liren Zheng: email: zheng@oak.cats.ohiou.edu.
