Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations

Established in 1986 the Federation’s Library collection of over 20, 000 volumes is built on the personal collection of the late Professor Xu Yunqiao. Apart from materials relating to the Singapore Chinese community, the library is notable for its collection of commemorative editions, minutes of related reports of clan associations, school magazines, and works on local Chinese culture, beliefs and practices.

Chinese Historical Society of America

Founded on 5 January 1963, this is one of the oldest and largest organizations dedicated to the study, documentation, and dissemination of Chinese American History. The Chinese Historical Society of America publishes an annual journal, Chinese America: History and Perspectives, which is dedicated solely to Chinese American issues.


The Chinese Historical Society of New England (CHSNE)

The Chinese Historical Society of New England (CHSNE) is a non-profit entity incorporated in Massachusetts in 1992. It is the first educational organization dedicated solely to documenting, preserving, and promoting the history and legacy of Chinese immigration in New England. This site also includes a heritage trail section of Boston Chinatown.


Chinese Historical Society of Southern California

The Chinese Historical Society of Southern California was founded in 1975 to discover and recognize the early Chinese American pioneers and their history. Its aim is to increase awareness of Chinese American heritage through public programmes, education and research. The Website includes information on past meetings, an historical timeline section, World War II photos and a segment on the nineteenth century shrine section.


World Conferation of Institutes and Libraries for Overseas Chinese Studies (WCILOCS)

WCILOCS is an organization of research institutes, library collections, academic societies, university programs, museums, archives, and individual scholars involved in the field of Overseas Chinese studies. Its purpose is to pool institutional and individual resources together so as to advance Overseas Chinese studies. It also provides a forum for identifying cooperative projects and act as a coordinating body for implementing the identified projects with joint institutional and individual efforts.
