Department of Chinese Studies, National University of Singapore
The Department of Chinese Studies of the National University of Singapore is one of the leading institutions in teaching and research on Chinese Overseas. Among the 40 full-time teaching staff, over half of them teach courses (undergraduate and graduate levels) and/or conduct researches on history, literature, society, language, religion, business network, and popular culture of Chinese Overseas, with emphasis on the Chinese in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The University has the best collection of research materials on Southeast Asian Chinese. The collection is located at the University's Chinese Library.
