Chinese Culture Centre, San Francisco The Chinese
Culture Centre of San Francisco is a major community-based, non-profit
organization established in 1965 to foster the understanding and appreciation
of Chinese and Chinese American art, history, and culture in the United
States. This site contains a host of information on books pertaining to
Chinese history and Chinese American culture, as well as links to other
Chinese societies, businesses and news sites.
Dr. You-Bao Shao Overseas Chinese Documentation & Research Centre, Ohio University The Dr You-Bao
Shou Overseas Chinese Documentation & Research Centre holds a good
collection of books and journals. In addition, the Centre actively seeks
to identify, acquire, and preserve manuscripts, archives, and other unique
resources documenting the activities of the Overseas Chinese.
The Asian
American Studies Centre at UCLA houses the Reading Rooms collection,
which focuses on Asian Pacific Americans and has a holding of over 5,000
books and monographs, 30 Asian Pacific ethnic and regional newspapers,
over 300 community and campus newsletters, and 5,000 pamphlets.
Asian Center, University of Bristish Columbia This is the homepage of the Asian Center at the University of British Columbia (UBC). This site is linked to UBCs Asian Library, Department of Asian Studies and Institute of Asian Research. The Asian Library has Chinese, Japanese, and Korean language materials, as well as books in South Asian languages and Indonesian. |
