Council
on East Asian Libraries (CEAL)
The
Council on East Asian Libraries aim to serve as a faculty-librarians'
forum for the discussion of East Asian library problems of common concern;
to formulate programs for the development of East Asian library resources,
bibliographic controls, and access; and to improve inter-library and international
cooperation in East Asian library development and services. This site
presents information on CEAL committee for publications, including Chinese,
Japanese and Korean (CJK) materials, library resources outside Asia as
well as information on academic offerings of East Asian programs and Asian
studies.
Chinese American Libraries Association (CALA)
The Chinese American Librarians Association (CALA) was established in 1983 by the merger of the Chinese-American Librarians Association (established in Chicago in 1973) and the Chinese Librarians Association (established at Stanford University in 1974). This website provides direct links to the various libraries within the US housing information on Asian minority issues.

site provides valuable links to various Asian American Studies resources.
The Library also houses a Chinese American Research Collection that includes
Chinese American documents in Chinese and English such as letters, diaries,
minutes, personal papers, bylaws of Chinese American organizations, manuscripts,
etc. It keeps a special file of Asian American community newspapers in
Chinese, Japanese, and English available in the United States from the
late nineteenth century to the present. There is a slide collection on
Asian American history and posters by Asian American artists of community
events.
Gateway Service Centre of Chinese Academic Journal Publications
This website provides general information about the Gateway Service Centre of Chinese Academic Journal Publications. There are links to its online request form, search catalogs, general information about the service as well as the East Asian Library. This Digital Document Delivery Center provides free delivery of full-text copies of Chinese-language academic journal articles to any researcher in the United States.
East Asia Collection, University of California, San Diego
